In January 2006 Joy of Sports launched a comprehensive, three year campaign called “Building a Champion for Children” to address some previous setbacks by transforming all aspects of the organization including fundraising, program development and financial management. Over the last 18 months the Joy of Sports Team, with generous support from friends like you, has made tremendous strides of which we should all be proud. Unfortunately, it has not been enough to enable us to continue & complete our quest to build critical organizational capacity and deepen our community impact.

We want to assure you that we are doing everything possible to minimize the impact on our program partners and clients and to ensure the spirit and value of Joy of Sports lives on. Staff, coaches & volunteers will carry the torch forward by continuing to serve children and families in our community in a variety of new positions and capacities.
